Health and Safety Policy

1.      Students and teachers who are sick should stay home and refrain from attending the course in person. Sick room is provided from those who fell ill during the course.

2.      To prevent the occurrence of chronic diseases, we encourage staff and students to adhere to healthy eating habits, by observing the food pyramid and 3-2-1 proportion of carbohydrates, vegetables and meat.

3.      Health and nutrition guidance is available from the Association.

4.      We promote mindful exercise to those who are pregnant and those who recover from mental illnesses.

5.      Classrooms should have proper fire safety equipment and clear exit.

6.      Desks and chairs should have round corners or have corner buffer installed.

7.      Toilets are available for the class participants. Classrooms should be close to the nearest available toilet(s) with walking distance of no more than 50 m.

8.      Class breaks of 10 minutes will take place no more than 90 minutes apart.

9.      When lifting heavy items proper postures should be maintained and there should be more than one person to assist the lifting, if appropriate.

10. Students are refrained from handling electrical components. The responsibility of managing electrical components rest upon the staff.

11. Fixed installations such as lighting and air conditioning are to be maintained by professional contractors and not staff.

12. Classrooms should be equipped with first aid box.

13. Accidents happened during the class shall be promptly reported to the senior management of the Association and the insurer, if appropriate.
